2. Affiliate Disclosure

Vestko participates in, or may participate in, affiliate marketing programs, which means we may earn commissions from qualifying purchases made through product links on our platform. Our affiliate partners may include Rakuten, Impact, ShareASale, CJ Affiliate, and other networks.

When you click on a product link within Vestko's shop directory or other areas of the platform, that link may be an affiliate link. If you make a purchase through an affiliate link, Vestko may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. The price you pay is the same whether or not you use an affiliate link.

Affiliate partnerships do not influence which products are displayed or how they are organized in your closet. Our recommendations and product listings are based on relevance and user preference, not commission rates.

3. Information We Collect

• Account Information: Email address and display name, collected via registration or Google OAuth.
• Demographic Information: During onboarding or account setup, we may collect optional demographic information including age range, gender or style preference (menswear, womenswear, unisex), city or region, and general size range. This information is collected on an opt-in basis and is used to improve your experience and generate anonymized trend analytics.
• Wardrobe Data: Images and metadata (name, price, brand, category, color, subcategory) of clothing items you add to your closet. We also analyze wardrobe composition including category distribution, color palettes, brand preferences, price ranges, and wardrobe gaps (categories where you have fewer items).
• Uploaded Images: Photos you upload are processed by AI for background removal and categorization, then stored securely.
• Outfit Data: Outfit combinations you create and save within the app, including which items are paired together and how frequently outfits are created.
• Shopping & Wishlist Activity: Items you save to your wishlist, products you click on in the shop directory, search queries you enter, click-through rates on product categories, and wishlist-to-purchase conversion patterns.
• Usage & Behavioral Analytics: Seasonal wardrobe changes (items added or removed over time), browsing patterns within the platform, feature usage frequency, and general engagement metrics. We also track Chrome extension usage including which product pages you save items from and save frequency. We do not track your general browsing history outside of explicit extension interactions.

4. How We Use Your Information

• AI-Powered Analysis: We use AI to analyze uploaded clothing images for automatic categorization by type, color, brand, and style.
• Image Processing: Uploaded images undergo background removal and standardization to provide a clean, consistent closet experience.
• Personalized Experience: Your wardrobe data powers features like outfit building and closet organization.
• Service Improvement: Aggregated, anonymized data helps us improve categorization accuracy and overall product quality.
• Aggregated Trend Analytics: We aggregate and anonymize user data to generate trend reports and market insights. These reports may include information such as popular categories, colors, brands, price ranges, and style trends broken down by region, age range, or season. These analytics never identify individual users and may be shared with or sold to business partners, retailers, and fashion brands.
• Search & Discovery: Search queries and browsing behavior within the platform are used to improve product recommendations and may be used to display relevant sponsored product listings within the shop directory.

5. Chrome Extension

Our Chrome extension requires specific permissions to function:

• Page Content Access: The extension reads product page content only when you interact with it to save an item. It extracts product details such as title, price, and images.
• Script Injection: We inject a content script to parse page structure and extract product information.
• Storage: Local storage is used to cache authentication state and prevent duplicate saves.
• No Browsing Tracking: We do not track your general browsing history. The extension only processes pages you explicitly interact with.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following trusted third-party services to operate Vestko:

• Google OAuth: For secure account authentication.
• AWS S3: For secure, encrypted storage of your clothing images.
• Google Gemini AI: For automated clothing analysis and categorization.
• Replicate: For AI-powered background removal from clothing images.

We may also partner with affiliate marketing networks, which may include:

• Rakuten Advertising: Affiliate link tracking and commission management.
• Impact: Affiliate partnership platform and conversion tracking.
• ShareASale: Affiliate network for merchant partnerships.
• CJ Affiliate: Affiliate marketing network and performance tracking.

These affiliate partners may collect browsing and purchase data through cookies and tracking pixels when you interact with affiliate links on our platform. This data is used to track referrals and attribute commissions. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these partners for details on their data practices.

All third-party services process your data according to their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

7. Cookies

Vestko uses the following types of cookies:

• We do not share your wardrobe data with other users.

Vestko is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
